Dr. Janku's current research projects address under served populations in drug court. One project involves evaluating a cognitive behavioral intervention designed for men who identify with the street culture of young black men, ages 17 to 29.Currently the research team is developing scales to test the hypothesized mediating effects of the intervention. Another project involves developing strategies to enhance equity and inclusion in drug court by applying principals of social marketing to increase access and completion rates for black men and women in treatment courts. This project has both a national and a state component.
