Kristi Turner, MSW, LCSW


Kristi Turner

Kristi Turner is a clinical coordinator at Rainbow House in Columbia, MO. She received a BSW from Evangel University in 2004 and an MSW from the University of Missouri in 2006. Kristi also obtained her LCSW in 2008.

Q. Can you describe your work history?

A. I started working for Joy Ranch, which is a home for children in 2004. I began working at Rainbow House as a clinical coordinator in 2006.

Q. What are the typical opportunities you provide to student interns?

A. Students have the opportunity to facilitate individual, family and group therapy, as well as parenting classes. Students also conduct developmental assessments, provide case management, sit in on forensic interviews and grantwriting initiatives and network with other professionals in the community.

Q. What has been the most rewarding aspects of your field instructor/volunteer work so far with MU School of Social Work?

A. I enjoy watching students grow personally and professionally. I love to see their passion for social work grow throughout the semester!
