Q. How did you first learn about the profession of social work?

A. I was a high school teacher for many years and had contact with the district social worker on many occasions.

Q. What have been the most valuable aspects of your educational experiences so far
at the MU School of Social Work?

A. The faculty and staff have exceeded my expectations. There is an atmosphere of support, encouragement, and a commitment to the students.

Q. What do you hope to do after you graduate?

A. Teach! I am looking forward to making an impact on future social workers. I am especially interested in teaching research and showing the students the excitment that can come from conducting good research and the importance of their findings in the social work field.
