Danica Pape is an MSW student at the School of Social Work. Danica completed her undergraduate field placement at the University of Missouri, Department of Residential Life as a coordinator for Stafford Hall in the Fall of 2008. Danica currently serves as a co-coordinator at the Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center.
Q. How did you first learn about the profession of social work?
A. My mentor and friend (and University of Missouri graduate!), Marie Noellsch, introduced me to the profession when I was a sophomore in high school. I was very impressed with the MU School of Social Work's Advanced Standing MSW program, which led me to a passion for Mizzou!
Q. What have been the most valuable aspects of your educational experiences so far
at the MU School of Social Work?
A. The flexible nature of the field program has allowed me to combine various passions and interest areas while staying on track with my course curriculum. I also appreciate the option to pursue the clinical MSW track or the policy, planning and administration MSW track.
Q. What do you hope to do after you graduate?
A. As a policy, planning and administration student, I hope to work with legislation surrounding issues of rape, sexual assault and intimate partner violence. I would love to serve as the director of a women's center at a University in the future!
