Amber Moodie-Dyer is a doctoral student at the School of Social Work. Amber's field placements have included Adventures in Motivation and SLACO in St. Louis, Missouri, and OSEDA and CARES at the University of Missouri.

Q. How did you first learn about the profession of social work?

A. Through my undergraduate psychology courses.

Q. What have been the most valuable aspects of your educational experiences so far
at the MU School of Social Work?

A. Theoretical discussions with faculty and peers, my teaching assistant (TA) and research assistant (RA) experiences and the excellent group of people we have here at MU.

Q. What do you hope to do after you graduate?

A. Either conduct research at a think tank or at a University, along with teaching in the areas of community development, poverty and feminist perspective.
