Julie Feeney is an MSW student at the School of Social Work. Julie's field placements have included Jefferson Junior High School and Hyde Square Task Force.

Q. How did you first learn about the profession of social work?

A. I met an MSW graduate when I was in the Peace Corps and, after I came back, it seemed to be the best fit for me career-wise.

Q. What have been the most valuable aspects of your educational experiences so far
at the MU School of Social Work?

A. The most valuable aspects of my experiences so far have been classes that require practice and provide opportunities to learn from my peers.

Q. What do you hope to do after you graduate?

A. I hope to work with youth doing youth empowerment work/youth organizing or at a macro level doing policy work.

Thanks for taking the time to talk about your experiences with us, Julie.
