There are several resources for answering your computer questions.
A computing handbook has been created for you by the School of Social
Work in response to some of the more frequent questions students have
asked. Mizzou IT has also created a Student Resources web source.

Computer Lab
The
MU School of Social Work offers a computer lab for social work students.
The lab has PC computers, which have Microsoft Office, SPSS, and
several other useful programs. This machine also has Adobe Photoshop,
Adobe InDesign and Macromedia Dreamweaver. Each machine has fast
Internet access for you to search the web or check email. The lab
also has a laser printer, zip drives, and CD-Writers.
The lab is located 733 Clark Hall. Lab hours are 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Fresa Jacobs, the School's
Senior Multimedia Specialist, is available 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
to answer any questions you may have. The computer lab phone number
882-0924, and Fresa's office number is 884-9133.

Work Web Site
The School of Social Work web site is updated frequently
with news, announcements, information for students, and other important
activities. Please check it often for changes. If you have any questions
about using the web site, or if you have any suggestions for additions

Student Listserv
The MU School of Social Work offers a listserv for
BSW & MSW students. These listservs are frequently used by the School
to alert students to important dates and information relevant to
their education. Listservs are also used to facilitate communication
between and among students in the School of Social Work. In this
way, a listserv is a great way to converse with fellow students
about issues that impact the field of social work.
We strongly URGE all students to subscribe to the
appropriate listserv to keep abreast of the latest information from
the School. Follow the instructions below to subscribe to the School
of Social Work listserv.
Bachelor’s students:
Bachelor's students who have been accepted into the Professional
BSW Program will be automatically subscribed to the BSW-L listserv
from their student e-mail account. This subscription will end upon
graduation from MU. However, every undergraduate student with a
Social Work major is encouraged to subscribe.
- From the email address you want list mail to come to, compose
an email message addressed to: {listproc@lists.missouri.edu}
(without { }) with no subject line or signature.
- In the body of the message type: subscribe BSW-L firstname
lastname
- Send the email.
Master’s students:
Master's students are automatically subscribed to MSW-L from their
student e-mail account upon registration in the School of Social
Work. This subscription will automatically end upon graduation from
MU. Follow the instructions above to subscribe from an alternate
or home e-mail address (substitute MSW-L for BSW-L).
Unsubscription: You may, of course, choose
not to subscribe to a listserv or remove yourself from a current
listserv. To unsubscribe, from the email address you are subscribed
on:
- Compose a message to: listproc@lists.missouri.edu.
- In the body of the message type: unsubscribe.
- Send the message.
Should you choose not to subscribe or remove yourself
from a listserve, please be sure to check your School mailbox and/or
stop by 7th floor Clark Hall often to stay informed on the most
current information affecting your education. If you have any questions,
